Nonna Rosa agritourism is located in the heart of the Parco delle Chiese Rupestri, a few steps far from the sightseeing area of Belvedere di Murgia Timone, from Jazzo Gattini, and from Centro di Educazione Ambientale and the water canalization system. The premises, which have belonged to the Di Lecce family for ages, ( the family’s nickname was Paccandun), have been the working site for livestock farming and durum wheat production since the early 1900s.
The 5 rooms of the main building have been recently restored and offer all the comforts to make your stay unforgettable. The furniture is simple and basic and enhance the natural environement around them with olive trees, orchards, vegetable gardens and wheat fields.
The family-run business makes the atmosphere joyful and relaxing. Depending on the season, you will have the opportunity to take part in the various farming activities, such us the picking up olives or seasonal fruits such as cheries, figs, apricots, plums, appples and pears.
The vegetable garden will offer the guests fresh salads, carrots, zucchini and other vegetables which you will be able to pick up yourself and eat on the spot, or, on demand, in a special local dish.
And if you do not fear our nice hens, you will be allowed in the henhouse to pick up your own egg!
